A 39-year old woman who has a cognitive disability is seeking a female roommate who can also provide support during the evening. She lives in a beautiful apartment in the heart of Towson. Her current roommate/support person will be leaving and she is seeking a new roommate in December.

She loves horseback riding, tap dancing, yoga, theater, gardening, shopping, bowling and decorating. She is very social and likes to lead an active and engaged life in her community.

The roommate will be a person who can ensure that her daily personal routines are carried out while respecting her privacy; someone who can drive her to her varied activities in the evening and someone who likes to have fun, be active and be involved in the community. The roommate shall be someone who can help her to organize the many aspects of her daily life, work as a member of a team and coordinate with her other support staff.

There will be $17/hr. compensation for the hours spent supporting this young woman which are Sunday 8 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., M, T, W, Th 5 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. There is a reimbursement for mileage.Rent is free in lieu of overnight support.She is busy during the day ~ making this ideal for someone that has a full time job. She usually visits and stays with her parents over the weekend.

This beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment is fully furnished; rent ($650/month value), cable, utilities and parking are included. Food costs are shared. No pets or smoking.

The roommate needs current First Aid and CPR certifications (this training can be obtained prior to hiring), a good driving record, and a negative drug test.
