PT Job Developer / Job Coach for DORS

Shared Support Maryland, Inc. is seeking a part-time job developer and job coach to work for people with disabilities in Baltimore City receiving services from the Division of Rehabilitative Services (DORS).

This position will focus on assisting DORS customers to create resumes and cover letters, assisting in finding and applying for jobs, facilitating practice interviews, and advocating for the customer to employers. Once a job is secured, the coach will follow up by assisting in on-the-job skill development.

Technical aspects of the positions require the ability to word process and utilize Gmail and Google’sapplications (with or without accessible software/hardware). The position also requires First Aid and CPR certification and access to reliable transportation for travel between customers, training, and meetings.

Personal, voluntary and/or professional background in customized employment, civil rights, humanitarianism, social justice, and advocacy are plusses. Having and living the ideals that all people with disabilities belong in the ordinary fabric of their neighborhoods and communities without exception is essential.

The hours for this position are flexible based on customer need. Rate of pay begins at $17.00 per hour with opportunity for merit-based increases.
